SOUL SISTERS UNLOCKING CELL DOORS
Two Soul Sisters created this page as a dedication to our pen friends and loved ones behind the walls.
What started as a small page to show the talent and need for a connection with the 'Free World' quickly grew and is now a lively, thriving Facebook community which receives 100's of letters from inmates looking for pen pals every week.
This site is now a way for the Soul Sisters team to show the art, poetry, special messages etc that they receive every week and for us to put profiles of inmates who are desperately looking for a contact.
We will also put any important prison related information on the site, for example, lock downs, prison letter rules, advice re writing to inmate etc.
Our pen pal service is free to all. Inmates have very little money, some have none, so we don't feel it's fair to charge them for a service that could be their only contact. Everything we do is through volunteers who want to help. So we don't charge people who want to write to pen pals either. This service is free for all.
The Soul Sisters group is about helping those who are incarcerated and bringing joy into their lives, just like their letters and works bring joy to ours.
If you have any questions about our service or want some advice about writing to an inmate please feel free to contact us.
If you know of an inmate who would like to use our service please ask them to write to us at:

Will you help us unlock some more doors?
